About Reef
Reef, founded by brothers Fernado Aguerre and Santiage Aguerre in 1984, is headquartered in San Diego and mainly produces surfing shoes and sportswear. Reef's products are passionate and fashionable, with a profound sea and beach culture, and are popular among the lovers of surfing, sailing and beach sports. In the 1970s, two brothers, Fernado Aguerre and Santiage Aguerre, opened a surf shop in Argentina to promote surfing activities. Influenced by the lifestyle of southern California, the two brothers opened Reef in 1984, which specializes in making beach slippers and sneakers. In 1985, reef became the world leader in beach slippers, selling 3,000 pairs a year. In 1995, reef set a record of selling 40,000 products in San Diego. In 2000, reef sold 65,000 products and launched its website. Reef's mission is to make consumers feel comfortable, relaxed and free in any environment, whether they are on the beach or not.
