About Otofonix
Otofonix was co-founded by a retired board of directors certified otolaryngologist who has been practicing medicine in Michigan for more than 25 years. During that time, he saw and treated many hearing-impaired patients who could have benefited, but could not afford to pay thousands of dollars to buy hearing aids. Shortly after his retirement, he noticed the deterioration of his lifelong hearing problems and was discovered by a colleague. Unfortunately, there was no cure for his hereditary neurasthenia, and he was shocked to find that the only thing that could help him was to buy a pair of designer hearing aids for $7000. Using world-class components from the US and European markets, Otofonix operates an assembly plant in China that, like most major hearing aid manufacturers, focuses on producing high-quality, inexpensive hearing devices.
