About The Six Bells
The Six Bells is a tiny shop in the fictional village of Barrow's Green a small civil parish with 640 residents, depending on who is dying and how many babies are being born provides the inspiration for The Six Bells. A manor house, a high street with shops, a meadow where sheep graze, beehive cottages with thatched roofs, and a village green that hosts annual fetes and cricket are all within the town. It has a community of unusual characters with intertwined backstories, as well as a weekly newspaper called The Green Evening Chronicle. Barrow's Green is home to industrialist and businessman Cecil Plunkett. His wealth is derived from a significant shipbuilding company on The River Brigg, but his most recent venture is a real estate company known for developing developments in rural counties.
