Flooret is considered another way to make, source and buy flooring. When it began, the monopoly of dealers in the flooring industry led to limited choice and excessive flooring prices. With fewer brands having the resources to properly develop new products, consumers have fewer and poorer choices of products. The more interesting products, where they are available, are at the extreme high end of the price spectrum. Flooret is a strong member of the green building movement. As part of the USGBC program, all of its products are eligible for various LEED credits. Its goal is to provide the highest proportion of recycled and recyclable synthetic products and FSC 100% certified wood products. Its products are zero or negligible formaldehyde and VOC emissions and are audited by reputable third parties.
