Uber.com is a company that aim connects passengers to drivers through application software developed by Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp. The application in essence can make any car owner into a taxi driver as long as they have the application .The Uber application requires a smart phone to function. When one uses the Uber service they are charged as they would be in any cab, the only difference with it is that the payment goes directly to Uber and not the driver. The clients that subscribe to the Uber app rate each other’s performance just as they do on many social media sites. Those who want to be drivers must first sign up in the site and produce the required driving licence, once they are approved they will be given a phone with the pp already loaded on it and they can start earning money. The company is currently working on self driving cars.
