Skullcandy Us came to the world as the brain trust of the notorious Nonconformist and action sports product planner Rick Alden. One day, while he was doing another gunpowder race on the hilltop in park city, he had to pull his earplugs from his music player and use them to answer his phone. It was then that a simple but powerful idea struck him. What if you had headphones that could seamlessly switch from music to calls? What if these headphones really do look as good as they do at work? That idea, in that lift chair, that day, was based on Skullcandy Us. Rick went all out to turn his ideas into reality, just as he did everything else in life, from skating to snowboarding, from art to garage repairs.
