Killian inherited a long list of brandy makers who were pioneers of luxury goods and Kirian decided to inherit the family tradition. Killian believes that creating a new luxury brand is definitely a challenge and worth his predecessor. Places he used to visit during his childhood included his brandy cellar. Before graduating from Thessa, he wrote a dissertation on the semantics of smell, looking for a language common to gods and mortals. He took "the angel's share" as part of his legacy and was brought into the perfume world. The "Angel Share" is what the Hennessy House calls the percentage, which somehow evaporates from the Cognac cellar, like a sacrifice to God. Many of Kirian's perfumes today bear this childhood memory because they are reminiscent of sugar in alcohol and wood in cognac kegs.
